Safeco Insurance Rebrands to Liberty Mutual
Important Update for Safeco Customers
Safeco Insurance has officially rebranded, and we want to ensure our clients understand what this means for their policies and coverage.
On April 28, 2026, Safeco announced that it changed its name and branding to Liberty Mutual Insurance effective April 25, 2026. This transition reflects the long-standing relationship between the two companies, as Safeco has been a part of the Liberty Mutual family for many years.
What This Means for You
The good news is that this change is largely administrative and will not disrupt your coverage. Here’s what remains the same:
Your policy number, coverage, benefits, and limits are unchanged.
Your insurance premium, renewal dates, and payment/billing information stay exactly the same.
Your ID cards and policy documents have been transferred to your new Liberty Mutual account.
Most importantly, your relationship with Sublette Insurance, Inc. remains the same. Your independent agent is still here to help with any questions or service needs.
Accessing Your Policy Going Forward
You can now manage your policy through the Liberty Mutual app or by visiting LibertyMutual.com. Use your existing Safeco username and password to log in seamlessly. Once you’ve logged in, you can safely delete the old Safeco app from your devices.
Underwriting Details
Your policy continues to be underwritten by Safeco Insurance Company of America and/or its affiliates, so the financial strength and backing behind your coverage remain consistent.
